Plant Training Quick hitch safety awareness Training
NPORS have designed this 1 day training course, which is aimed at all 360 Excavator operators in the Construction Industry. Plant Training have Plant Testers / Plant Trainers who are qualified to deliver this training course.
The course content is as follows:
Theory Session:
- Identify the risks associated with quick hitch devices
- Describe the operators legal duties with respect to the use of quick hitches
- Describe and apply safe working practices for the use of quick hitches
- Practically connect and disconnect attachments safely
- Know when and how to conduct visual inspections of the quick hitch equipment
- Maintenance of quick hitch equipment
- Apply the appropriate methods for testing connections
- Realize the importance of following the manufacturers specification for use
Practical Session:

- Perform the operators legal duties with respect to the use of quick hitches
- Demonstrate the safe working practices for the use of quick hitches
- Demonstrate the procedures for connecting and disconnecting attachments
- Demonstrate when and how to conduct visual inspections of the quick hitch equipment
- Carry out maintenance of quick hitch equipment
- Demonstrate the appropriate methods for testing connections
- Comply with the manufacturers specification for use
