- Rick Assessment
- Confined space regulations
- Press cuttings of accidents
- Health and hygiene

- Safety harnesses / Standards, types, use plus care
- Personal protective equipment
- Introduction to emergency breathing apparatus
Day 2
- Hazardous atmospheres / Identification of types and basic effects on the body
- Practicalities of gas detection
- Typical apparatus types / How the function and limitations of use
- Safe systems of work
- Legal requirements
- Review of safe working practices including use of permits
- Communications and emergency planning
- Prepartion of practical exercises

- Emergency first aid / Recovery position
